How long
does it take to complete a web site project? |
| |
|
 |
Most projects take between 2-6 weeks, from
initial inquiry and consultation to the official launch of your web site
for all the world to see.
The actual time-frame will depend on the size, scope, and complexity of
your web site project, your prompt feedback, and how quickly you deliver all of the web site
content to us, including text and graphics.
We do not use templates, automatic page building software programs, or a
cookie cutter, one size fits all, quick and dirty job kind of approach.
This means
every project we work on gets our full-time attention and focus, with attention
to detail from page to page and this is why projects take at least a couple
of weeks. |
|
 |
I live in a different
state (or country) from you. Can we still do business
together? |
| |
|
 |
Sure! The beauty of the Internet is it doesn't matter
where we live. We are all inter-connected via the World Wide Web.
Geographical location is, therefore, definitely not a stumbling block.
Projects can easily be worked on via email and the occasional telephone call whenever necessary.
Choose and work with a web designer that you feel good and comfortable working
with, as well as one whom's work you like and appreciate, and no matter where he/she
lives.
If you would like to find out if we make a good match, review the Are We a Match? page.
And don't hesitate to contact
us with any questions. |

Why should I invest in a web
site? I mean, do I really need one for my business? |
| |
|
 |
Read the 15 Compelling
Reasons Why You Should Invest in a Web Site and then come back
and tell us if you can think of a good reason why you shouldn't.
(-:
Investing in a website these days is no longer a luxury or an option, but a necessity and a must-have, unless you want to be left behind and beaten by your competition. |
|
 |
I already have a domain
name. Can I use it for my web site? |
| |
 |
Sure! And if you want to host your site on one of our recommended hosting services, Nisa WebDesigns can take care of your domain
name transfer. The domain name
transfer process normally takes between 24-48 hours. |
|
 |
Do you provide hosting
services and domain name registration? |
| |
|
 |
Yes, we do. SiteBuildIt and iPowerWeb are
the two hosting services that we use and highly recommend. Both services
come with free domain name registration as part of their package.
iPowerWeb comes
with a big package, including 10,000 MG for about $96/year.
This is a good option if you want to save on hosting.
SiteBuildIt,
on the other hand, costs a bit more at $299/year
compared to iPowerWeb, but you also get 10 times
more in value.
With SiteBuildIt, you'll get a great hosting package, PLUS it comes with built in marketing
and traffic tools and services, such as automatic web page search engine submission,
pay-per-click and newsletter management tools, and excellent customer service,
amongst other things - options that generally are not available and all-inclusive
with cheaper hosting services.
No matter what hosting program you choose, you must still make the necessary
effort and investment to promote and market your web site to bring in targeted
traffic to your site. After all, what good is it to have a web site and then do nothing to promote
it?
In any case, choosing the right hosting service can make a big difference
in leveraging your time, efforts and bottom line; so, choose wisely.
Same goes with the web designer you work with ...
Remember, fast and cheap
is not always better and can cost you a lot more in the long run. |
|
 |
Will I be able to view
my web site as it's being built? |
| |
|
 |
Absolutely! You will be able to view the progress
of the web site as it's being built from beginning until end, so
you can give us feedback and approval every step of the way.
As we work on the design and development of your web site, all pages
will be uploaded for your easy viewing and feedback. |
|
 |
What happens when I
need to make updates on my web site. Will you do
that for me or can I do it myself? |
| |
|
 |
It's always a good idea to update your web site frequently
or periodically to keep visitors coming back for more.
Nisa WebDesigns can put together a special monthly maintenance package to suit your site updates and maintenance needs. Contact us for the details and a
custom solution.
If you are a do-it-yourself'er type, SiteBuildIt is
the prime way to go about it, making it easier for you to build and manage
your web site yourself.
If you prefer to have a jumpstart with a
SiteBuildIt web site, you can also hire us to get it started for you and then you can take over from there. |

I can't afford your
services - what are my options? |
| |
|
 |
The real question you should be asking yourself
is: “Can
I really afford NOT investing in a web site in today's competitive
marketplace?”
In today's hi-tech world, a web site should be an integral
part of your business and marketing plan.
If you don't have
one, it makes customers
and potential customers wonder, “Well ... Why not? If they can't
afford to invest in a web site, maybe they're not doing very well with
their business, so why should I do busines with them? ” And
if you don't get one, your competition will, if not already, and beat you to the chase.
Like in most business endeavors, it does take some money to make money
and building and promoting a web site is no exception. However, in comparison
to starting a brick and mortar store, it is a lot easier and faster to get started with a website business and the savings are substantial.
If you are not able or unwilling to make an investment for a professionally
designed, custom web site you may want to re-evaluate your level of commitment
to having the best for your business and customers and/or perhaps put off the timing
of starting up a web site until you have the funds to do so.
The reality is if a professional looking, custom web site that represents
your company in a positive light is important to you, then be prepared
to make a financial investment of some sort. This is not the area to short-change
or scrimp on, as it can cost you more in the long-run if you don't do it right.
Your web site will represent your business to the world and
it's to your advantage to give a positive impression, the one that you
want and your customers deserve.
Here's some food for thought: Who would you make a purchase from: (1)
a web site that looks unprofessional and cheap, with a bad navigation
scheme
making it hard for you to get around, or (2) a web site that looks professional,
is well-designed, with excellent content, easy to navigate and where
it's obvious that the web site owner has put in time, effort,
and financial investment into it? And, which web site would have more
credibility
and
instill
trust in
you?
These are really some no-brainer questions, but quite often ignored. Don't shortcut or short-change
investing in a professionally designed, effective web site - one that is doing what YOU want it
to do.
If you are unable to earn, borrow, attract, or save the necessary
funds to hire professional web design services short of waiting
until you do
have the funds, you may want to seriously consider building your web
site yourself.
You will need to dedicate the time to learn
how to build your
own web site and to market it. This can be a very time-consuming, time-intensive process,
so be prepared to put considerable time and effort into it.
The upside to this option is that you are in complete control
of your web site and will not need to rely on a web designer.
If this is the route you prefer to take, we highly recommend that
you check out “Site
Build It.” SBI is the premier company to
work with for the do-it-yourselfer's - an all in one web site building
- hosting
- marketing - traffic building powerhouse system.
Any way you look at it, one way or another, if you are serious
about starting a new business or growing an existing business,
be prepared that it will
take a time and financial investment on your part and this includes
building and promoting your web site. |

Why
should I hire a professional web site designer - why not just
hire a teenage kid who will do it for a lot less? |
| |
|
 |
Well, we don't know about you, but we would
never entrust something as important as starting or maintaining a business to a teenage student.
If you are serious about your business and serious about building
a web site that represents your company in the most positive light,
it is highly recommended that you hire
a professional instead or learn how to do
it yourself.
Unless that teenager has exceptional design, copy writing, and marketing
know-how and skills and a high degree of maturity or all you need are really
some very basic, simple looking pages where you are working closely with
the teenager and have easy access to him/her and your site doesn't involve
eCommerce, we would not recommend hiring a teenage student.
You will find that you're going to have to hire a professional sooner rather than later to fix or patch up what your teenager web designer started for you and
wind up paying twice instead of once. In other words, you might save money
in the short term, but wind up spending a lot more in the long term simply
because your site doesn't work and/or looks amateurish.
And then what happens if/when you need to make updates and your teenage
web designer has more important things on his/her mind, such as Prom or
getting into college?
In our opinion, we feel that it is better then not to have a web site
than to have a web site designed by a teenage kid who's only doing it as
a hobby or for a few quick bucks. And, it's better then to become
your own webmaster than to hire a teenage student. |

Will having a web site
business get me rich real quick? |
| |
|
 |
Although there are instances where online marketers
are making $30,000 per month or more from their web site businesses
soon after launching their websites (so it's certainly a possibility), realistically speaking - like everything
else in life - building a profitable business takes time, effort,
marketing, trial and error, tracking and tweaking, patience, a burning desire,
dedication, a positive mindset, and a financial investment.
It is not a get-rich-quick scheme. It's best to be realistic, work at it
but work smart by educating yourself about internet marketing, including
email marketing, search engine pay-per-clicks, and hiring professionals
whenever necessary to get you up to speed and keep you up-to-date.
If you
don't have the time to learn what is necessary, then the alternative is
to hire professionals to do it for you, someone
who knows what they're doing. |

Is
a web site all I need and I'll have traffic like crazy? In other
words, build it and they will come? |
| |
|
 |
The web site is only the beginning - about 10% of
the story, the tip of the iceberg, so to speak.
The other 90% of the story is what you do to market your
web site. If no one knows your web site exists, no one will find
you, or at the very best it'll be a slow and grueling process.
And, if your traffic is not targeted, all it takes is a click in and a
click out. Not all traffic is created equal. The goal is to bring in targeted
traffic and build up a targeted, responsive mailing list.
Since the beginning of time, marketing requires on-going effort, whether
it's an online business or a brick and mortar store. Make it easy for people
to
find you,
develop
a relationship with them by staying in touch via an ezine or newsletter,
create win-win joint ventures with complementary website owners, and eventually you'll get all the traffic, leads, and sales you desire!
The biggest mistake we see is someone investing in a web site and then leaving
it alone, doing no promotional work, no updates, no advertising. That's
analogous to buying a car and then not putting gas in it to keep it running or not using the car at all. The car's not
going to get you anywhere if you don't re-fuel it or use it. Same with your website if you build it and then leave it alone. Pretty useless, right? You might as well not
have a web site then if this is your
plan
of action.
Be prepared to do promotional and marketing efforts once you've got your
web site up and running: i.e. pay-per-click campaigns, such as Google AdWords, joint ventures, and targeted link exchanges. |
|
 |
If I send you a referral,
do I get a referral fee? |
| |
|
 |
Nisa WebDesigns will credit your account with a referral
fee (based on a percentage of the total project fee) good towards
web design services for your own web site. This is a good way for us to create a win-win. (-: |
|
 |
What
is the best and fastest way to bring targeted traffic to my web
site? |
| |
|
 |
With search engines constantly changing their algorithms,
the fastest, most reliable way to bring in targeted traffic and to
be listed in the top 10 spots in search engines are Pay-per-click
search engines such as Google
AdSense and AdWords. This should be part of your advertising
and marketing campaign.
Another excellent way is to ride the coat tails of web sites that
are already highly trafficked by joint venturing with complementary site owners,
exchanging links, and doing teleseminars and cross-promotional efforts with each other. |
